Pilar Frank-O'Leary, the President of Latin American consulting practice PFO Advisory Group (www.pfoadvisorygroup.com) earned a Juris Doctor Georgetown University Law Center. Often called Georgetown Law, the institution has been giving aspiring lawyers a top-notch legal education, combining classroom learning with access to global firms, think tanks, nonprofits, and government organizations. The university’s Juris Doctor program, available in a full-time or part-time format, prepares students to pursue careers in many areas of domestic and international law. To prepare students for global business activities, the LLM in international business and economic law (IBEL) covers US and international regulatory issues. During her time at Georgetown Law, Pilar Frank-O'Leary, a Colombian-American, was the President of the Alianza del Derecho, the Hispanic and Latino law students association, as well as an active member of the James Brown Scott Society of International Law and GANAS, the Hispanic political education organization. She was also a student member of the Hispanic National Bar Association. During her time at Georgetown Law she clerked at the firm Rogers & Wells in their Latin American Capital Markets Group and upon graduation she worked in-house at JPMorgan in their Buenos Aires and New York offices and at other institutions before forming her advisory firm, PFO Advisory Group. Her first client was Facebook, where she helped the tech giant establish key public policy relationships in the Latin American region. Ms. Frank-O'Leary says her time at Georgetown helped shaped her global mindset as well as business and legal analytical skills which has served her well in delivering results and strategic advice to her international corporate and nonprofit clients.
